Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi is considered an acting institution in himself. The talented actor has nailed spectacular roles in films like Stree, Gangs of Wasseypur, Ludo and the series Mirzapur, Sacred Games, among others. He is now all set to be seen in another inspirational story Sherdil: The Philibhit Saga. He plays the role of a poor farmer who struggles to keep his family afloat from debt and help them survive. 

Interestingly, Pankaj’s wife Mridula will also be seen in the film. Reportedly she has one scene in the film where she will don a beautiful Bengali sari. Pankaj jokingly calls it a good bribe to get her to act. Sherdil is directed by Srijit Mukerji. 

Speaking about his experience in Sherdil Tripathi earlier said, “My experience has been brilliant. I am working with this unit for the first time. They are very fast. Jaldi jaldi kam hota hai. Also, the entire unit has been talking to each other in Bengali. ‘Ei jhotpot koro’, ‘Taratari koro’, ‘Eta niye esho’ and so on. Bengali is a sweet language. In Mumbai, people speak in English, Hindi and Marathi. But listening to people converse in Bengali for days together felt good. Even technically, the experience was nice. It was a team of young people.” Sherdil also stars Neeraj Kabi and Sayani Gupta and will release on 24th June 2022.
