We already know that director duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee are coming up with their Bollywood debut 'Shastry Viruddh Shastry', which is a Hindi remake of their 2017 hit Bengali film 'Posto'.

Starring Jisshu Sengupta, Mimi Chakraborty, Soumitra Chattopadhyay and Paran Bandopadhyay, 'Posto' was an emotional roller coaster ride that addressed the custody issue between the parents and grandparents of a child.

While Mimi is set to reprise her role from the Bengali version, popular actor Shiv Pandit will be playing the role of Jisshu Sengupta in the original film. This means that we will see Mimi and Shiva as a married couple in Shastry Viruddh Shastry. Initially Amit Sadh was supposed to play the role of Shiva. However, he had to leave the film due to date issues.

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal is set to play the role of late Soumitra Chattopadhyay, who is the grandfather of the child. There is strong buzz that Naseeruddin Shah might be seen in a pivotal role in this Hindi version. At the same time, the child artist is a resident of Mumbai. The cast also includes veteran actors like Neena Kulkarni, Amruta Subhash, Shiv Pandit and Manoj Joshi in key roles.

Mimi has another Hindi OTT show in hand. According to reports, Ali Fazal is also in the lead role in this web series directed by Soumik Sen. Buzz is that Anirban Bhattacharya is also a part of the show.
