Prateik Babbar will soon be seen playing the role of a migrant laborer in the film India Lockdown, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. Prateik Babbar has worked in Bollywood movies like Dum Maaro Dum, Darbar and Brahmastra. Now he will soon be seen in the film India Lockdown. In this film, he is playing the role of a migrant laborer named Madhav, who has to walk to his village due to the lockdown.
Talking about this, Prateik Babbar says, 'My role is that of a migrant laborer who gets caught in a dilemma whether to go back to his village in the lockdown or try to live in the city. When Prateik Babbar was asked how he prepared for his role. To this, he said, 'We have worked hard for this role. A lot of preparations were going on. I also met some migrant laborers. Had a heart-to-heart talk with him. I was watching everything very carefully. He gave me detailed information. I tried to understand their feelings as well. Apart from this, I was also trying to know their daily routine. I tried to do Madhav's role by including all their feelings.
Prateik Babbar also said that another challenge was learning the local language. For this he took coaching and also watched many films. Prateik Babbar says, 'Mera jo dilate hai. That's different. It is Hindi but it will be Bihari Hindi. In this I am talking in a different way. I also had a dialogue coach on the set who helps me understand the dialogues and emotions. I have seen films like Aakrosh, Ankur and Do Bigha Zameen. I have tried to understand the struggle of the workers. Significantly, India Lockdown is based on the lockdown imposed in India during the Corona virus. This film will tell how people became jobless and the laborers had to walk to their homes.
Prateik Babbar further says, 'I think the corona virus disease was not easy. It told us that together we can face the darkness and together we can always emerge. Our human capabilities were challenged and we have emerged from it better than ever. Shweta Prasad Basu, Aahana Kumra, Prakash Belwadi have important roles in India Lockdown. The film will be streamed on the online platform from 2 December.
