Priyadarshan's Take on Hera Pheri's Success

In a formal conversation with ETV Bharat, Priyadarshan said, 'I was quite confident that Hera Pheri would work, but I didn't expect it to become a cult classic. It had some witty humor delivered with some remarkable performances. Audiences never believed that the trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal could manage to pull off such a comedy film, because at that time they were taking up different types of movies, but when it performed and became a huge success, it marked a turning point in their careers.'

Quick Update About Hera Pheri's Upcoming Sequel

While sharing a quick update about Hera Pheri 3, he said that the film's writing will commence in 2026. Further, he elaborated about the film, wherein he said, 'I have planned to begin the work and would start writing Hera Pheri 3 in the next year. It would be quite challenging to create the third part because of the audience's expectations, but I am taking it as a challenge. Let’s see how it works.'
