Mannara Chopra, the cousin of Former Miss World Priyanka Chopra and bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra, has become the first contestant to enter the Bigg Boss 17 house. In the premiere episode, which aired on Sunday, Mannara started her journey in the popular reality show. Excited about her cousin's participation, Priyanka took to social media on Friday to send her best wishes and share a lovely throwback picture.

The heartwarming Instagram Stories post featured a childhood photo of Priyanka and Mannara. Alongside the picture, Priyanka wrote, "Throwback to little Mannara Chopra. Good luck little one." The picture captured a heartwarming moment after Priyanka's victorious win at the Miss World 2000 pageant, where she proudly adorned the Miss World crown and posed with a young Mannara. At that time, Mannara, who had appeared in movies across Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada cinema, was in her preteen years.

In a recent interview, Mannara, also known by her real name Barbie Handa, shared her views on her cousins' popularity and its impact on her career. Responding to whether comparisons with Priyanka and Parineeti affected her chances of securing good roles, Mannara stated, “I have done quite a many films which are on big OTT platforms. Also, for me, content is very important and I am kind of choosy. I look for my comfort level. Also, when I was offered films in Hyderabad with the biggest of names, I said why not? Today, films are no longer categorised to just Bollywood. I know a lot of people in Mumbai who are moving to the south. So I don’t know in what context you are looking but from my business context, I am doing fine.”

Regarding her decision to participate in Bigg Boss, Mannara revealed,“I am not doing this to prove myself or something to anyone. It was an exciting opportunity and in a time of social media and reality show, I felt it was the right choice.”

After completing her college education, Mannara moved from Delhi to Mumbai, where she kickstarted her career in the modelling industry. She made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with Anubhav Sinha's film, Zid, co-starring Karanvir Sharma. However, her first release was the Telugu movie Prema Geema Jantha Nai in the same year. Subsequently, she appeared in prominent Telugu films like Jakkanna (2016), Thikka (2016), and Rogue (2017), among others.

As Mannara takes on the challenges and experiences within the Bigg Boss 17 house, her fans eagerly wait to see her journey in the Bigg Boss house with the support and best wishes from her talented cousins.
