Makers of superhit web series The Family Man, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK aka Raj & DK are all set to bring their next to their fans. The series was earlier titled Ashwaslinga but has been changed to Gulkanda. Set in the times of the Kama Sutra, the series is a period comedy that will feature Kunal Khemu, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee. The series is directed by Rahi Anil Barve, of horror series Tumbbad (2018) fame. It is also written by Tumbbad’s writer Mitesh Shah. 

 

The late actor Amit Mistry was to play a significant role in Gulkanda but his untimely demise in April 2021, left the makers in shock. He had shot a few portions. He was a favorite of Raj & Dk and had collaborated with them in many projects like 99 (2009), Shor In The City (2011) and A Gentleman (2011). His role will now be played by actor Gaurav Gera of Television show Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin fame. 

 

Gulkanda has been shot in Ladakh and other Himalayan regions in bitter cold. The series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Apart from this, Raj & DK also have another series titled Fakes starring Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi.
