Raj Kundra the Businessman and husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has again landed in trouble. The couple is now under the radar of the Enforcement Directorate (ED); nearly 98 crore worth of properties of Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty have been seized by the ED. The businessman was in 2021 due to an alleged pornography-related case.
ED Seizes Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty's Assets Worth ₹97.79 Crore:
The Mumbai Zonal Office has temporarily secured Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty's immovable and movable properties worth Rs. 97.79 crore under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. The list of these high-cost properties includes a Shilpa Shetty's residential flat situated in Juhu a residential bungalow situated in Pune and equity shares in the name of Raj Kundra.
Bitcoin Scam- Raj Kundra's Role in Gain Bitcoin Ponzi Scheme Explained:
The investigation was initiated by ED after multiple FIRs got registered against M/s Variable Tech Pte Ltd, late Amit Bhardwaj, Ajay Bhardwaj, Vivek Bhardwaj, Simpy Bhardwaj, Mahender Bhardwaj and several MLM agents. The FIRs revealed that they have collected huge amounts of funds in the form of Bitcoins worth Rs 6,600 crore in 2017. The promoters gave false promises of a 10 per cent/month return in the form of Bitcoins to potential investors. The promoters cheated investors and concealed ll gotten Bitcoins in obscure online wallets.
Raj Kundra Received 285 Bitcoins for Ukraine Mining Farm:
Raj Kundra played a crucial role in this scam. He received 285 Bitcoins from the mastermind and promoter of the Gain Bitcoin Ponzi scam Amit Bhardwaj for setting up a Bitcoin mining farm in Ukraine. Nothing much has been revealed by the sources yet. But it seems like businessman Raj Kundra has been landed in big trouble.
