After a superhit and unbelievable performance in Barfi, Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu’s next collaboration was the 2017 film Jagga Jasoos. However the latter fell flat and flopped at the box office. The film however has been a point of fancy for many OTT platforms who are keen to make it into a series. The film’s director Basu however is skeptical saying that if it didn’t work as a film, how would it possibly work as a series. 

Jagga Jasoos was a one of a kind Bollywood detective musical film with lots of special effects. It starred Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in the lead. It was the duo’s last film together before they called it quits on their real life romance as well. As of now Basu said he is toying with the idea of making the film into a series but due to the lead actor’s busy schedule a collaboration might be tough. Ranbir will next be seen in Animal and Brahmastra while Katrina has Bhoot Police to look forward to.
