Actor Ranbir Kapoor shared his feeling about playing Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's two part 'Ramayana', while he's excited to be the part of the big project. The actor spoke at the prestigious 'Red Sea International Film Festival 2024' in Jeddah, where he talked about 'Ramayana' for the first time. Ranbir says, 'It's a dream role to play Ram in Ramayana which retells 'India's greatest story'.

He adds, 'My childhood friend Namit Malhotra, who is making this film with so much passion, has taken the best work from all the artists, creative people and crew of the world. It is the greatest story ever."

Ranbir Kapoor informed that he has already finished shooting for the first part of the film, while the second part will son go in the floors.He added," I feel grateful for being part of Ramayana. It is a film that has everything. It teaches what Indian culture is. 'Produced by Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus Studios, the film is scheduled to release in two parts on the festival occasions of Diwali in 2026 and 2027.

The makers are yet to confirm the cast as per reports Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Lord Ram, South actress Sai Pallavi is going to be seen in the role of Mata Sita. The KGF franchise star Yash recently announced that he will play the role of Ravan in the film.
