The iconic actor Randeep Hooda recently shared his opinions on the industry's mentality of following the trends blindly and neglecting the aspects of originality and innovation. In order to support his statement, he applied the example of the Stree movie, which starred Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, and said that the industry is currently being filled with various movies of the horror-comedy genre, as the filmmakers are massively trying to apply this formula and thereby avoiding making anything new and original.

In a formal conversation with The Indian Express, Randeep Hooda expressed his opinions while discussing the topic that the industry quite often relies on trends and said, 'I would bring it down to bhedh chaal. If one thing works, then similar things start getting made. Everyone runs behind making that kind of film only. For instance, after the release of Stree, every filmmaker is trying to make films in the horror-comedy genre.

Further, he highlighted that the films have now become more sort of formula-driven, wherein they are mainly focused on executing a successful project rather than creating their own project with a fresh and new script.

However, Randeep Hooda will be seen in his upcoming film 'Jaat,' wherein he will be playing the role of the main antagonist along with Sunny Deol, who will be the main protagonist of the film, and this film is directed by Gopichand Malineni and will be released in theaters on 10th April, 2025.
