Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut surprised her fans when she announced of her essaying the role of goddess Sita in the upcoming Alaukik Desai directorial film ‘The Incarnation- Sita’. Now the makers have reportedly approached actor Ranveer Singh to play the role of Ravana in this epic mythological tale based on Sita from Ramayana. The Padmaavat actor was apparently asked to play the part in May 2021 and he loved the script. The final casting call will be made officially soon. The script has been written by by screenwriter K V Vijayendra Prasad who has also penned Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivi

 

It was reported that Kareena Kapoor Khan was earlier offered the part of Sita but she demanded a whopping Rs 10 Crore for the part and thus had to be replaced by Kangana. Talking about her role the Panga actress said, “As a woman, I couldn't be happier in welcoming Ms Kangana Ranaut on board our Vfx magnum opus, 'The Incarnation Sita'. Kangana symbolizes the spirit and essence of the Indian woman - fearless, daunting and daring... It's time we stepped in to celebrate equality in every respect.” The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
