Renowned actress of Hindi cinema, Rita Bhaduri is not dependent on any recognition today. On the basis of her hard work and strong acting, she has earned a lot of name in Bollywood. During her career, Rita won the hearts of the audience with her performances in films like 'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na', 'Kya Kehna', 'Dil Vil Pyar Vyar' and 'Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon'. Apart from Hindi films, the actress also worked in Gujarati films. In Bollywood films, the actress often appeared in the role of a mother.

Rita had worked in about 70 films and more than 20 serials. The actress was also seen in the role of grandmother in the popular TV show 'Nimki Mukhiya'. Apart from these, the actress has played memorable roles in the serials Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Kumkum and Amanat.

Rita made her debut in 1968 with the film 'Teri Talaash Mein'. After this she played the main character in films like 'Julie', 'Anurodh', 'Sawan Ko Aane Do', 'Gopal Krishna', 'Aai Milan Ki Raat'. Rita was awarded the Filmfare Best Supporting Role Award for the 1995 film 'Raja'.

Film and TV veteran actress Rita breathed her last at the age of 62. She was admitted to ICU due to kidney problem, where she died. The last rites of the actress were performed on 17 July 2018.
