Known to be one of the finest actors in Bollywood, Richa Chadda has entertained her fans with some great choice in movies like Gangs of Wasseypur, Fukrey, Love Sonia among others. The actress will now be seen in yet another daring role where she will play the role of legendary South actress Shakeela from Kerala, who ruled the silver screen in the 90’s and acted in many adult movies in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages. The movie will show us a side of the actress that we have never seen or heard before. The film also stars Ludo actor Pankaj Tripathi and Malayalam actor Rajeev Pillai. 

The film titled ‘Shakeela’ will be directed by Indrajit Lankesh who personally met the real Shakeela in person and got to know many interesting facts about the lady. He was sure that no actress other than Richa would do justice to the role. The film is all set to have a theatrical release on 25th December 2020. Shakeela will be the third film after Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari starring Manoj Bajpayee and Tillotama Shome starrer Sir, to be released in cinema halls since the lockdown was lifted.
