The Bollywood actor made his debut as a director with his blockbuster Marathi movie Ved. He starred opposite his wife Genelia in this blockbuster Marathi movie. Now the actor is all ready to showcase his directing skills yet again with 'Raja Shivaji.'

Today on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti Riteish Deshmukh announced his upcoming movie 'Raja Shivaji.' Other than directing the movie actor will also essay the role of legendary Maratha warrior 'Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.' This upcoming movie will be released in both Marathi as well as Hindi language. 'Raja Shivaji' is jointly produced by Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company.

This upcoming historical marvel will be shot by national award-winning cinematographer Santosh Sivan. The music of Raja Shivaji will be done by the well-known musical duo of Ajay and Atul.
