Saba Azad, the talented actor-musician who recently wowed
audiences at the Lakme Fashion Week, has been the target of online trolls.
However, she didn't back down in the face of negativity. Taking to Instagram,
Saba shared screenshots of the messages she received from these trolls, and her
replies were nothing short of epic.
One user questioned Saba's need for therapy after watching
her dance performance on the ramp. To Saba responded, "Why yes Sir/Madam
spud. I tend to agree and I get it on the regular as should everyone else for
existing in a world as consumed by hate as ours, you should try it! It helps
you fill your own tanks and thus not get so deeply offended by the peaceful
existence of others."
One more Instagram user replied to Saba’s story, asking her
if she is "mad." Saba's response was empowering and
thought-provoking: "Yes Jaffar! I really must be to keep waking up every
day in the wake of the constant hate being sent my way and thinking maybe today
will be a better day and smiling and carrying on - I must be mad cause maybe
the world is just filled with people such as yourself, who sit behind the
safety of their screens adding nothing but hate into the world. That's your
legacy - that's what you're gonna leave behind. Chew on that buddy."
Reacting on the online hate she experiences, Saba opened up
in an interview with India Today earlier this month. She admitted that it
hasn't been easy to ignore the negativity, stating, "It's taken me quite
some time to come to a place where I treat everything else as white noise
because hatred is palpable. I am not made of stone, it hits you. You feel like
s***. There are days when you wake up and you wonder what did I do to anyone?
What did I do to you? I am living my life, you live yours? Why are you waiting
for my blood?"
Saba Azad, a singer-musician, has made her mark in the film
industry with notable performances in Dil Kabaddi and the 2011 movie Mujhse
Friendship Karoge. She has also impressed audiences with her talent in the
Netflix anthology Feels Like Ishq. Most recently, she appeared in the web
series Rocket Boys 2 and Who's Your Gynac?
Saba Azad's unapologetic response to online trolls serves as
a reminder that it's crucial not to let negativity define us. In a world that
often breeds hate, Saba's determination to rise above it and choosing her own
happiness is truly inspiring. We applaud her strength and hope that her story
will encourage others to stand up against cyberbullying and spread kindness
instead.
