A soul stirring human story, short film Sheer Qorma has managed to touch innumerable lives with its portrayal of the LGBT community. The film stars a talented lot of actresses that include Shabana Azmi, Divya Dutta and Swara Bhaskar. The film’s director who is elated at his film winning big at the India International Film Festival Boston (IIFFB) had earlier said, “It makes me so happy to know that along with Sheer Qorma winning Best Film at India International Film Festival Boston, Shabana Azmi ji has also bagged the award for Best Leading Actor at the festival for Sheer Qorma! 

He further added, “I was so ecstatic when I broke the news to Shabana ji about her win and she was gracious as ever and thanked me for giving her Sheer Qorma. We are also nominated for Best Director, Best Leading Actor (Divya Dutta) & Best Supporting Actor (Swara Bhasker) at IIFFB. Fingers crossed and here’s hoping we win!”

Sheer Qorma has since won 13 international awards for documenting a sensitive story of love, understanding and acceptance. The characters played by Shabana, Swara and Divya have resonated well with the worldwide audiences and is winning hearts.
