Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is all set to kick start his very first collaboration with filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar with an untitled action film. The said film will be an Indian adaptation of the 2011 French film Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Night). The Udta Punjab actor will reportedly begin its shoot with an elaborate action sequence soon. The actor will essay the role of a tough cop Chasing the drug mafia in the film. The commencing action scene will be shot in suburban Mumbai for which the makers have already laid the groundwork. 

 

The French film Nuit Blanche has already been remade before in Tamil and Telugu titled as Thoongaa Vanam and Cheekati Rajyam respectively. Shahid Kapoor will feature in its third rendition in Hindi. The story of the film revolves around a cop whose son has been abducted by the drug lords in return for their seized cocaine package. While the cop strikes a deal to give back the cocaine in return for his son, the package mysteriously disappears and he has to find another way to save his son. Apart from this film, Kapoor will also be seen in Raj & DK’s web series and the sports drama Jersey opposite Mrunal Thakur.
