Early Wednesday morning Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar’s mother Aruna Bhatia left for her heavenly abode. The Bell Bottom actor shared the tragic news on his social media page and wrote, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”

Akshay had been shooting for the film ‘Cindrella’ with Ranjit Tewari in London when he rushed back to Mumbai hearing of his mother’s deteriorating health on Monday. She was rushed in the ICU of a Mumbai hospital when the actor returned. The Housefull actor earlier showed his gratitude towards fans and wrote, “Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough time for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help.” We pray her soul Rests in peace.
