Producer Murad Khetani announced last year, that he will be remaking the South film Thadam in Hindi. The lead cast was supposed to be Sidharth Malhotra and Mrunal Thakur. However some changes in the screenplay led to the backing out of the Marjaavaan star. This happened earlier this year and the film came to a halt. Now the makers have zeroed in on Ludo actor Aditya Roy Kapur to play the lead while Mrunal continues to be the female lead. The film will see the Malang actor in a double role for the very first time in his career. 


Aditya has given his dates for the Thadam remake thus it is most likely to go on floors sometime this year itself. Once he e we wraps up the shoot of Om: The Battle Within, he will jump onto the new project.
