The second wave of covid-19 in India has spelled nothing but tragedy and disaster. Work has suffered, jobs lost and most of all Lives have been lost. The virus has been wiping out entire families with the survivors left wailing outside hospitals in despair. It has brought a lot of hopelessness and misery to the country. While thousands have died in the wake of the deadly pandemic, the Indian film industry too has lost countless of its members. Our big hearted Bollywood stars have stood in unison to fight the wave and give out help not only in terms of monitory aid but much more. Here is a list of stars who have contributed immensely and urged the public to contribute as well.

1. Akshay Kumar has donated Rs. 1 crore to cricketer Gautam Gambhir's Delhi-based NGO. He along with his actress wife Twinkle Khanna has also arranged for more 100+ oxygen cylinders for patients in Delhi. 

 2. Anushka Sharma along with cricketer husband Virat Kohli has donated Rs 2 crores to her fund raiser. 

 3. Hrithik Roshan has donated Rs 11 Lakhs to a fund raising by international author and podcaster Jay Shetty. 

 4. Priyanka Chopra with hubby Nick Jonas have raised more than Rs. 4 crores. 

5. Salman Khan has donated over 3 crores. He will be giving Rs 1,500 to 25,000 workers in the film industry. He has also provided 5,000 food packets for frontline workers. 

 6. South star Ajith Kumar has given 1.25 crores. 

 7. Ajay Devgn has raised more than Rs 1 crore and also helped in setting up ICU units partnering with Brihanmumbai Municipal Council (BMC). 

 8. Singer Lata Mangeshkar has donated Rs 7 lakhs to the Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's relief Fund.
