Television actor Surya Sharma has hit the jackpot as he has bagged a leading role in the upcoming drama Bhakshak. He is cast opposite Bollywood powerhouse performer Bhumi Pednekar. The actor is known for his crime web series Undekhi, where he played the bad guy. Speaking about his role in the film he said, “Unlike Undekhi, here I play the good guy.” The film is set in the rural belt of Bihar and is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.

Surya says he found the dialect of Bihar challenging. He stated, “I watched a lot of YouTube channels to pick the language. It was a challenge, since coming from the north, I had already picked up the Punjabi accent, then Haryanvi. Until I reached the set, I didn’t know if I was on the right track.”

Lastly speaking of his collaboration with actress Bhumi, the ‘Kaala Teeka’ actor added, “Bhumi is a wonderful human being. I have spent time with her during workshops, rehearsals, and readings, I now count her as my friend.”
