Filmmaker Ketan Mehta has proved his brilliance with his work in films like Bhavni Bhavai and Sardar, and even won the National Award for the same. After a small haitus the director is back with a bang and this time will be making a film on his aunt, freedom fighter Usha Mehta. The makers are working on the final draft of the film’s story and will begin the casting process soon. As per reports, Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar are on top of the line to play the lead role in the movie.

 

Meanwhile Ketan Mehta is reaching out to well known art directors to give the film a clear and authentic depiction of the pre-independence era. Facts and events are being worked out for the era with the help of a team of historians. Taapsee Pannu meanwhile has many films to look forward to which include Shabaash Mithu, Looop Lapeta and Blurr, among others. Bhumi on the other hand will be seen in Badhaai Do.
