In wake of the rising covid cases in the country, filmmakers are pushing the release dates of their films to be on the safer side. Being considerate of everyone’s safety and following strict protocols, the makers of the upcoming Punjabi film Galwakdi have postponed its release date as well. Lead actor Tarsem Jassar shared this news with a new poster of the film on social media and wrote, “Due to current Covid circumstances the release of our movie 'Galwakdi' has been postponed. New release date will be announced soon. Wish you a safe and happy new year”. This picture was shared with the caption - “" Galwakdi " Movie Postponed Due To Covid .. Malak Mehar Kre Changi tra Open Up hon theatres , Stay Safe Stay Healthy , tuhade piaar lai dillon shukria 🙏 #galwakdi #postponed ##wmk” (‘Galwakdi’ movie has been postponed due to Covid, May God bless us and theatres open up properly. This news has been upsetting to fans who were looking forward to Galwakdis release. The film is directed by Sharan Art and written by Randeep Chahal, also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Raghveer Boli, Rupinder Rupi and Honey Mattu, among others. Apart from this film, Tarsem Jassar will also be seen in the film ‘Mastaney’ to release on 1st June 2022.
