Actress Rajeshwari Sachdev has worked with directors like Shyam Benegal and Bernardo Bertolucci, Mahesh Dattani play Gauhar Jaan and countless television hits like Margarita and also teleplays including Zee Theatre's 'Double Game. In this riveting thriller, a couple wages a battle of wills to dominate each other in their quest for wealth and power. They scheme and play mind games to get the better of each other in a deceitful double game where they may win or lose everything.

About her role in the play, Rajeshwari says, I think I've been very lucky to have played very interesting parts in my career and in 'Double Game', every scene was interesting because there was a lot of interaction and repartee between actors and barely a moment of silence. We were all on our toes because the tension in the scenes never dissipated.

Talking about the themes that 'Double Game' explores, the actor says that wealth and power make the world go round. Everyone craves money and power and at some point, greed becomes a need and life becomes a game of survival. This is exactly what this play depicts.
Teleplays- Bringing Theatre to Your Living Room:
Rajeshwari also believes an experimental format like a teleplay is successfully bringing theatre to a large number of people and she adds, 'Of course, it will never enable an actor to interact with a live audience but having said that, it enables us to reach regions and demographics we were not able to access earlier. I am happy that so many people are now watching plays like 'Double Game' in their homes.'
