Makers of the upcoming biopic on the former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha have released the film’s first look and the teaser. The film stars actress Kangana Ranaut in the leading role portraying the legendary and controversial political leader. The Judgementall Hai Kya actress looks very convincing and close to the iron lady’s persona in her prosthetics and over all attire. Fans are in a frenzy and have given the look a thumbs up. The actress’s sister Rangoli shared the poster of the film and wrote, “The legend we know, but the story that is yet to be told! Presenting #KanganaRanaut, in & as #Thalaivi. A film by #Vijay, arriving in cinemas on 26th June 2020.”

Thalaivi’s teaser shows the former CM’s movie’s scene of her dancing in her 1965 film Vennira Aadai. The film is directed by Vijay and the film will hit the big screens on 26th June 2020. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.
