Ranbir Kapoor has finally confirmed that he will appear in the biopic about the late singer-actor Kishore Kumar. During a promotional event for his upcoming film "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar," the actor elaborated on the subject. Ranbir made it clear in a video that is going viral on social media that he is a part of the Kishore Kumar biopic and has been working on it for 11 years. The actor went on to say that writer Anurag Basu is a filmmaker. Additionally, Ranbir hoped that this would be his next biopic.

Amit Kumar, Kishore's son, discussed his father's biopic. "We are doing a biopic on my father as well," he had stated. He had responded, "No, now we'll produce it ourselves," when asked if it would be produced with Ranbir and Anurag Basu. We have begun working on it.

Ranbir also denied rumors that he would be in the Sourav Ganguly biopic in the same video. He asserts that the cricketer is a living legend whose biopic will be exceptional. He has not, however, been approached regarding his biopic. Ranbir and Sourav Ganguly played cricket earlier on Sunday at Kolkata's Eden Gardens. There were once again rumors that the actor was working on the cricketer's biopic after several online photos of the pair playing together surfaced.
