The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) Awards took place at the Hamer Hall in Melbourne, bringing together artists, filmmakers, and enthusiasts to celebrate the brilliance of Indian cinema. This annual event, held in Australia, honoured outstanding talents from the Indian film industry, recognizing both movies and OTT platforms.


The awards ceremony, held at Hamer Hall, was a grand event where actors, directors, and cinema lovers converged, creating an unforgettable night dedicated to cinematic excellence. The 2023 IFFM awards not only celebrated achievements from the past year but also showcased the dynamic and evolving landscape of Indian entertainment, highlighting the diversity of films and content from the subcontinent.


Rani Mukerji received the top acting honour for her role in "Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway," and Mohit Agarwal was recognized for his performance in "Agra." The well-deserved title of Best Film went to the Tamil film "Sita Ramam," while "Agra" was lauded as the Best Indie Film. Prithvi Konanur, a Kannada filmmaker, was awarded Best Director for "Hadinelentu (Seventeen)."
