The much awaited, third instalment of the Fukrey franchise is here. Lead actor Varun Sharma shared a picture of the film’s clapboard on his social media page, indicating the film has finally gone on floors. He captioned it, “Shuru Hogayi!! Jai Mata Di.” A Mrighdeep Singh Lamba directorial, Fukrey 3 also stars Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Manjot Singh and Pankaj Tripathi. Each bringing a distinct character and flavour to the hugely humorous film. 

Fukrey 3 shoot has been delayed multiple times due to the pandemic, but now it has officially begun. The story of the film revolves around 4 close friends who want to make easy money, and use the most absurd methods for it. Director Mrigdeep said he is thinking of incorporating Covid-19 into the film. He added, “This part too will have a strong message that people will take away and it will be delivered in a humorous way. The original story doesn't mention it (about Covid-19). But we have been contemplating. We have discussed it. We need to be careful how we show it (Covid-19 situation), it shouldn't seem forceful.” 

Fukrey 3 is produced by by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s production house Excel Entertainment. Fans are eagerly awaiting it’s release date.
