One of the veteran actors, Rakesh Pandey, who was a renowned figure of the regional cinema, bid farewell to the world yesterday morning at 8:50 am wherein he was admitted to the Bharatiya Arogya Nidhi Hospital located in Juhu and died at the age of seventy-seven years. The cause of his death is said to be a cardiac arrest. 

Further, his last rites were performed yesterday at the Shastri Nagar Crematorium wherein his family members namely his wife, daughter Jasmeet, and his granddaughter.

Rakesh Pandey's cinematic journey began with the film 'Sara Aakash', which gained him limelight in the industry and then acted in various films such as 'Mera Rakshak', 'Yehi Hai Zindagi', 'Ek Gaon Ki Kahani', 'Do Raha Balam Pardesiya' and 'Bhai Dooj' respectively.
