Bollywood’s hot new property Vicky Kaushal is busy enjoying the accolades for his last release Sardar Udham. While the actor’s role as the brave freedom fighter Udham Singh narrowly escaped an Oscar entry, the super talented actor is all set to take on another historical role of his lifetime. He will be essaying the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in Meghna Gulzar’s directorial biopic Sam Bahadur. The film was to go on floors sometime in 2021 itself but has been pushed to 2022. 

 

As per reports, Meghna and producer Ronnie Screwvala has taken the decision to begin shooting Sam Bahadur only once all things are in place, which will most likely take a few months from now. Vicky and Gulzar have previously collaborated on the 2018 Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi. Meanwhile Kaushal’s other film to be delayed is The Immortal Ashwatthama, where he will reunite with his Uri director Aditya Dhar. He was has Mr Lele in his kitty.
