Voot Select hosts one of the biggest and first ever direct to OTT Film Festival 

Digital channel Voot Select is hosting a film festival for some of the most critically acclaimed direct to OTT movies through varied genres. It will be first of its kind and one of the biggest so far. The festival that began on 24th July will be streaming 15 unique movies from across the country in a span of 8 days. Voot film festival will bring inspirational as well as socially relevant films to its audiences. The films not only unveil tales and anthologies that defy convention but also present #IndiaUnfiltered.

The list of movies that will stream on the OTT giant Voot Select  include; Natkhat, Shuruaat Ka Twist (anthology), Ek Duaa, Love in the Times of Corona (anthology), Jaan Jigar, Lines, The Shaila(s) and Lihaaf. These films talk about subjects that range from gender discriminations, patriarchal mindsets, caste and geographical boundaries as well as same sex love and turbulent times of the current pandemic. We will see brilliant performances from some of the most talented actors like Vidya Balan, Neena Gupta, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Amit Sial, Anushka Sen, Hina Khan, Dipannita Sharma, Shibani Dandekar, Chunky Pandey and Esha Deol. 

Speaking about her film Ek Duaa and the Voot Film Festival, lead actress and producer Esha Deol Takhtani said, “It’s an absolute honor to see your work getting an ideal platform like Voot Select Film Festival that is set to showcase many inspirational stories across the storytelling spectrum. I’m extremely proud of 'Ek Duaa' which is my home production, and it was an enriching experience to portray the character of Abida who is fighting against gender discrimination in the thresholds of her own house. Ek Duaa is my humble contribution towards such a big issue and I have never been so emotionally invested in any character before. It has truly been a product of sheer hard work that will strike a chord with the audience.”
