The name Shivagami might seem familiar and you might wonder where have you heard it before. It will quickly strike you that it was in the mega blockbuster Baahubali that a prominent part was played by the character Shivagami. The latter was played by actress Ramya Krishnan. Now a series on Netflix is being planned based on her earlier life. Thus Super 30 actress Mrunal Thakur was chosen to play the part and 70% of it was already shot. However the makers were not happy with it and had to scrape it all in between. Now things have been developing again in that direction and the makers are planning to resurrect the project. 

This time however Mrunal Thakur will be replaced by Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi, as the former has no more dates to reshoot the series again. Gabbi has been part of several Bollywood films including Love Aaj Kal, Jab We Met and Mausam. The series will be completed by the year end.
