The web series Aarya introduced Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen in a very different and never before seen avatar. The actress’s debut on the OTT platform was lauded and welcomed. Now the director of the series Ram Madhvani is all set to bring the most awaited second season of the series. The filmmaker announced the completion of its shoot on social media and penned an emotional note. He wrote, “The journey of #Aarya2 has been tough, scary but fun! The 'new normal' in life resulted in a lot of struggles as we chose to do what we are passionate about. But what makes it worthwhile is the team you journey with and I am grateful to each and every one of these passionate people. Without their dedication and work ethic, we wouldn't have finished shooting #Aarya2 safely!”

Aarya is the Indian adaptation of the Dutch crime-drama show "Penoza”. It is created by Sandeep Modi and Ram Madhvani. Sushmita Sen made her acting comeback as well with the series and won the award of Best Actress Female, at the Filmfare OTT Awards. The story of Aarya revolves around a woman who’s husband is murdered by the mafia and thus joins their gang only to seek revenge.
