In 2004 when the comedy show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai was aired on Television, it was a rage. People couldn’t get over the matter of fact humor all the characters in the show depicted. The second season premiered on OTT in 2017 and got some mixed reactions but actress Ratna Pathak Shah was praised for her performance as Maya Sarabhai. When quizzed about a third season in the offing, the Kapoor & Sons actress said, “We would all love there to be something in the making.”

All the characters in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai are well defined and have got an almost cult status. Ratna further adds that the new season depends on the show’s iconic writer Aatish Kapadia. She adds, “So if he can put an interesting script together, then I think we all will be delighted to come back.” Speaking of audiences mixed reactions on the second season Shah said, “You feel that you know the world has changed so much around you, maybe you should also change?”

Talking about her comeback in season 3 she adds, “If you take a long break, coming back is often difficult. So I hope this time around the break hasn’t been so long.” The show also stars Satish Shah, Rupali Ganguly, Sumeet Raghavan and Rajesh Kumar, among others.
