Bollywood actress Yami Gautam broke many hearts when she out of the blue announced her marriage to Uri filmmaker Aditya Dhar. While the actress is in a blissful phase of her personal life, her professional life is gaining momentum too! The Ginny Weds Sunny actress will next be seen in a thriller titled ‘A Thursday’, where she will play the role of a school teacher Naina Jaiswal, having grey shades. 

Speaking earlier about the film Yami had said, “For a film like A Thursday, which was a very intense film and I think that is something which required a lot of mental prep and a lot of it was left to the imagination; just to literally be in the moment and imagine what if this had actually happened and what would you do in that scenario. It was a very heavy film for me. I remember I used to go on the set and I used to feel very heavy in my body.” Yami was last seen in the Saif Ali Khan starrer Bhoot Police. 

Meanwhile the new covid variant Omicron has played a dampener on the cinema business. Just when audiences were enjoying going to the cinemas, the third wave is forcing a shut down on them again. Keeping this in mind, the makers of A Thursday will be releasing the film directly on OTT. It will premiere on Disney+Hotstar in the coming months. The film is directed by Behzad Khambata and also stars Dimple Kapadia and Neha Dhupia.
