Yogiraj Singh father of Cricketer Yuvraj Singh Played test matches and six ODI's in Australia and New Zealand in 1980 and 1981. The cricketer recently threw light on how anguished he was on being removed from the team after Kapil Dev became the winning captain after the 1983 World Cup.


Sharing his personal grievance the cricketer said Kapil Dev dropped me from the team for no reason. He also accused Bishan Singh Bedi of having plotted against him.

Yograj confesses that he was so anguished by Kapil Dev, that he even took a pistol to Kapil Dev's residence and told him that he wanted to pull a bullet through his head. But, who spared him from doing so was Kapil Dev's mother who was a very pious lady, standing beside him.

The former cricketer said that was the moment when he decided to quit playing and for his son Yuvraj to play. He further said that Kapil Dev did apologize to him in a WhatsApp message.
