The story of Mirzapur revolves around Kaleen Bhaiya who runs an illegal drug and arms business hidden behind his flourishing carpet manufacturing business. He is married to a much younger woman named Beena who he tries to impress and satisfy in bed but is stated to be unsuccessful in doing so. His son Munna isn’t the brightest of the lot. One day while dancing at a friend’s wedding he accidentally shoots the groom, during a celebratory gunfire. This creates a lot of enemies for Kaleen’s family. The groom’s family hires one of the best lawyers in town, Ramakant, to bring down Munna and get him arrested. Meanwhile when Parshuram informs Kaleen that his old rival Rati Shankar might be coming back to town, he also lets him know about what Munna has done. Furious, Kaleen asks his son to clean up his act. He goes to Ramakant to threaten him to let go of the case but the former refuses and things begin to get ugly. The series is directed by Karan Anshuman and Gurmeet Singh. The star cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Duvyendu Sharma, Rasika Dugal and Shweta Tripathi.
