Manav Gohil is known for his roles in Hindi television shows which also include the famous and very popular Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. He participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 2 and in the crime drama, the popular C.I.D. He was KD Pathak’s brother in the popular television series called Adaalat and then acted in the drama Shaadi Mubarak. Manav Gohil was a part of the Tenali Rama, the historical comedy.
Manav Gohil started his career in the film industry in 2000 after he won the ‘ Man of Gujarat’ Pageant, which prompted him to move from Vadodara to Mumbai to pursue his career in acting. He got trained under Kishor Namit Kapoor’s Acting Academy.
He did his television debut with the show Choodiyan in the year 2001 and soon went on to become a familiar face on the Indian television through his notable roles that he essayed in popular serials like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kkusum, Kasauti Zindagii Kay and C.I.D. He established himself as a dependable supporting actor when the era of the Indian Soap operas was at its peak on the television.
Manav Gohil performed in theatre productions too during the period such as Kennedy Bridge by Khalid Mohammed and in Lady from the Ocean by Illa Arun.
Gohil took a break in 2006 from the television to focus on his film titled Bhanvraa. The project was shelved indefinitely which led to a hiatus in his career. He was away for almost 4 years since then. In one of his interviews, the actor stated it was a tough phase of his life describing it a very humiliating but he described the period was humbling and transformative. He relied heavily on his family then and took to the path of spirituality to help him navigate certain uncertainties.
Gohil got his big opportunity when he was cast in Channel V’s The Buddy Project wherein, he played the role of Aniruddh, Junglee Jaitely, a mentor to the young ensemble Star Cast. He received widespread appreciation for a mix of humour as his performance of King Krishnadevaraya in Tenali Rama and in Sony Sab’s Yam Hai Hum.
In August 2020, Manav Gohil had started playing the lead role of Keertan Tibrewal a.k.a KT opposite actress Rajshree Thaku and later with Rati Pandey in the Star Plus television series, Shaadi Mubarak.
Gohil had appeared in the Sony TV Drama Kaamnaa in the late 2021 where he essayed Vaibhav Kapoor, a suave, manipulative businessman who uses his money to influence and get what he wants in life. The character marked a big shift for Manav Gohil who had an opportunity to play a layered antagonist.
Manav Gohil has worked in regional cinema and made his debut with Saptapadii in 2013 in Gujarati films. Produced by Amitabh Bachchan Corporation. The film ran for over 12 weeks in theatres and was screened at the International Festival. It was also showcased at the Jaipur International Film Festival. His contribution earned him a special mention during the festival.
Manav Gohil later stepped into OTT with the 2023, Matsyavedh, a thriller drama and in 2024, he was a part of Karate Girls on MX Player, a story of female empowerment in the social drama. He then made brief appearances in Bollywood films.
Manav Gohil’s most crucial role is as Sushant Bansal, a calm, senior Intelligence Bureau Officer and a trainer who works as an undercover spy in the March 2026 spy thriller Dhurandhar:The Revenge, the Part 2, and the final sequel of the duology. The spy action thriller is written and directed by Aditya Dhar and is produced by Aditya Dhar, Lokesh Dhar and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studio and B62 Studios. Manav Gohil in the spy action thriller released on March 19th 2026, stars along with Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, Danish Pandor.
Manav Gohil was cast directly by Mukesh Chhabra without any audition while he was on a family vacation. During the shooting, he had worked closely with R.
