Saand Ki Aankh (2019)

The story of Saand Ki Aankh revolves around two elderly women named Prakashi Tomar and Chandro Tomar who are sister-in-law’s by relation. These women have endured hardships and struggled to gain a foothold as individuals in their families all their life. Tired of being humiliated, belittled and brushed off as just two other women who are born to do house work, the women decide to break free. They chase their dreams of becoming sharpshooters and take part in several competitions and tournaments, in spite of objection from their own families and in-laws. They end up being the best and first women sharpshooters of the country and that too at the ripe age of 60. They go on to make history and people all over the world start recognizing their natural talent. The movie is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Anurag Kashyap, Reliance Entertainment and Nidhi Parmar. The story of the movie is written by Jagdeep Sidhu. The star cast of the movie includes Bhumi Pednekar, Taapsee Pannu, Prakash Jha, Vineet Kumar Singh, Nikhat Khan and Shaad Randhawa. The music is composed by Vishal Mishra. The cinematography is by Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti.
