Payal Kapadia recently marked a major achievement in her career as her film titled 'All We Imagine As Light' bagged the Best Film Award at the Asian Film Awards. The Asian Film Awards 2025 took place on Sunday at the Xiqu Centre, which is located in Hong Kong's West Kowloon Cultural District.


This film strongly competed against the contenders in its segment, which were Black Dog from China, Exhuma from South Korea, Teki Cometh from Japan and, lastly, Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In from Hong Kong.


While addressing the award, Payal Kapadia said, 'Thank you so much to my lead actors, which include three human beings who are also incredible artists. They were the ones who brought this film here. I'm so overwhelmed that we could conclude our journey here in Hong Kong, a city which means a lot to me, as I have watched several wonderful films from this city over a period of time.'


The film 'All We Imagine As Light' stars Chhaya Kadam, Hridhu Haroon, Divya Prabha, Anand Sami and Kkusruti, respectively, and its story mainly revolves around Prabha, who is a troubled nurse who somehow receives an unwanted gift from her distanced husband, as well as her young roommate Anu, who frequently desires to get close to her boyfriend.
