Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar on 12th June filed a legal plead to the Bombay High Court against the makers of the movie Shaadi Ke Director Karan Aur Johar. Karan has requested the prevention of using his name without his consent. The movie's title Shaadi Ke Director Karan Aur Johar uses the filmmaker's name unlawfully.

Karan Johar Demands Stay on 'Shaadi Ke Director Karan Aur Johar' Release:

According to the reports, the filmmaker has demanded a stay on the movie's initial release. The movie is scheduled to release in theatres on June 14, 2024. Johar has also demanded a permanent restriction and restraining order against the producers of Shaadi Ke Director Karan Aur Johar India Pride Advisory and Sanjay Singh, and writer-director Bablu Singh for using Karan Johar's name in the title.

Bombay High Court Hearing Karan Johar's Plea Against Movie Today:

The hearing of Karan Johar's plea is scheduled for today. It will be presented before a single bench of Justice RI Chagla.

Karan Johar Claims Unlawful Use of Name Damaging His Reputation:

Karan highlighted the violation of his personal rights, and rights to publicity and privacy. He stated that using his brand name without his consent and authorization is affecting and damaging his goodwill and reputation.

On the work front, Kara Johar recently released the trailer of his upcoming movie Kill which he has produced. The movie hit the theatres on July 5.
