The legendary singer who has made his mark in the music industry for almost five decades has left the world at the age of 72. This iconic singer who has left us is Pankaj Udhas. The singer spent his final moments at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital.

The Padma Shri receptionist Pankaj Udhas took his last breath today. He was known for his iconic ghazals such as 'Chitti Ayi Hai' and 'Chandi Jai Rang.' He was a prominent singer in the Indian musical industry. Pankaj ji has sung many iconic ghazals as well as songs for Hindi cinema.

Today on 26 February 2024 Pankaj Udhas's daughter Nayaab Udhas shared the heartbreaking news via her Instagram handle. The post shared by her read: 'With a very heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on 26th February 2024 due to prolonged illness.'

The veteran singer Pankaj Udhas has contributed many memorable and soulful tracks to the tapestry of Hindi cinema and Indian pop music. The singer received enormous fame after his first ghazal album Aahat in 1980. he later gave many hits such as Mukarar, Tarrannum, and Mehfil.

One of them is Lata Mangeshkar in the song Mahiye Teri Kasam for the movie Ghayal which became a huge hit. He also did a song with Sadhana Sargam for the movie Mohra the song was Na Kajre Ki Dhar which also became popular. He also worked as a playback singer in movies like Saajan Yeh Dillagi, Naam and Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee.
