Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar has announced single-window clearance system to simplify the process of obtaining permissions, shootings, directs his department to implement the same. The initiative aims to encourage more film productions in the state which will help generate employment opportunities, and ensure smoother operations for filmmakers.

Shelar emphasised in a meeting held at the Sahyadri Guest House, the critical role of the Cultural Affairs Department in fostering employment and raising social awareness. He stressed the need for effective implementation of necessary schemes and initiatives to promote cultural activities and the film industry in Maharashtra.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister and Cultural Affairs Department, Vikas Kharge, and Managing Director of the Maharashtra Film, Stage, and Cultural Development Corporation Swati Mhase Patil who outlined plans for the next 100 days.

The Discussions included the rollout of an online system for single-window clearance for film shooting permissions across Maharashtra, the redevelopment of the PL Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy, and the organisation of various cultural events.
