After the super success of the Manoj Bajpayee starrer web series The Family Man, Raj & DK are back with another. The duo have Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor and South superstar Vijay Sethupathi coming together for the first time. They have now given the series a title, ‘Fakes’. For a long time it was assumed that the series was named Sunny, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. In fact earlier in 2014, the makers wanted to call it Farzi. 

 

Farzi was to star Shahid and Nawazuddin Siddiqui but the latter’s role is now being done by Vijay Sethupathi. It has been shot extensively in Goa and Mumbai. The action thriller series will stream on Amazon Prime Video soon. Shahid meanwhile has the sports drama Jersey awaiting release. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur.
