Sonu who's not just a reel-life hero but a real-life hero indeed who's helped many people during and after the covid 19 pandemic. His debut venture 'Fateh' too is yet another initiative towards creating awareness about the issue of cyber crime. Sood took the audience through his journey three years ago during the pandemic when he encountered many cyber frauds, which gave him the idea to take up the issue of cybercrime and make ‘Fateh’.

Talking about the idea and inception of 'Fateh'  Sood said, “ It was during the pandemic, when there were many cyber crime reports and FIRs reports happening across the country, that we found in our research. We thought to take up this issue as this story needed to be told.Fateh is story of the common man who has suffered from cyber-crime issues, many people have  even committed suicides because of the instant loan apps. I hope the audiences will be able to relate to the story of Fateh."

He adds,When the script began and the people kept joining in the journey, we never thought it to be shot in Dubai or the US or incorporate international technicians, it happened eventually. It's a collective effort of the entire team to make this film possible. We want to bring it to the audience on 10 Jan 2025. I hope they will be able to relate to the film."

Looking at the trailer it seems to be one of the most brutal and violent films to come out of Bollywood. When asked if he has crossed the censor board and has any fears of getting an Adult certificate he replied ," The film is yet to be censored and ‘A’ certificate is not a problem. Animal and Kabir Singh were hits. Our audience is ready to see such kind of action. I also feel that when we see characters doing bad deeds, we want to see them getting punished severely. This aspect justifies the violence, as viewers think ‘Isne itna bura kiya. Isko aise hi marna chahiye’."

So what were the feelings about presenting his directorial debut, he said, “I came without any references in this industry and I am grateful to whatever I have learnt in this industry, who gave me work and taught me so much and today I am standing here. As its said, “Wo kehte hain na zindagi main khud ki taqdeeren khud ki kalam se likhni padti hai, usi ki koshish jari hai.”

What makes this role unique and what the film promises to the audience he replied, 'I have been working for so many years but whatever u will see I haven’t done so far.We thought of making an action film which has action sequences at par with Hollywood films and the audience would love it.'

Sonu stressed on giving an opportunity to more talented newcomers in the film, who are good at their job, or have worked on some projects apart from the experienced crew, said," I made many new friends like Vivek and Arun who sang the song ‘Fateh Kar Fateh’. Having worked in the industry for almost 22 years, this journey is very different."

Talking about the music of the film, Sonu said 'The film has a bouquet of songs presented by various singers namely Arijit Singh, Honey Singh, B Prague, Sukhwinder Singh, Vishal Mishra, Asees Kaur and Zubin Nautiyal, and I think the listeners will love the album and it's songs.'

Producer Sonali Sood, talks about her particular choice of artists and person on screen in Fateh, 'I’m a big fan of Arijit Singh and Naseeruddin Shah so having them onboard was an obvious choice.' Sonali replying to the statement that ‘India has found its James Bond in Sonu Sood in Fateh, said, 'Every time I used to see action sequences, I felt that action was kind of unbelievable with any guy to beat up a hundred people together, and would tell Sonu that you can actually justify it.'

Jaqline tells about what was her first reaction to working with Sonu Sood as an actor, and director, 'When I was first approached for the film I saw so much passion and conviction in Sonu’s eyes, that even before signing I felt that yes this was something I will be doing.

She adds, 'The script has a very very powerful narrative and the role is very challenging for me and is beautifully written. I am thankful that Sonu considered me for this role. Acting with him was fun, but being directed by him was quite an experience.Sonu was so committed to bringing the best out of me and that was so amazing to experience as an actor, that your director believes in you.'

Talking about Jaqleines role in the film, Sonu Said, 'I told Jaqleine that you are playing a very simple girl with no makeup and hair, who wears a simple kurta and Jeans and carries a bag. When she saw herself in the film she said I’m looking so different, are these some different lenses that have been used. Although she has done some good roles in her career, but I promise you that this is going to be Jackline’s best!
