After a prolonged wait, there's an update on the sequel of 'Kalki 2898 AD.' Its prequel had a significant mix of epic tales and stories along with a futuristic story, which had won audiences' hearts with its eye-catching visuals and performed very well at the box office, as it had an estimated lifetime collection of one thousand and one hundred and eighty crore rupees.

In this film, Prabhas had played the roles of Bhairava and Karna, while Amitabh Bachchan portrayed the role of Ashwatthama, which ended on a very suspenseful note and kept the cinephiles eagerly waiting for its sequel.

Currently, several reports suggest that Amitabh Bachchan may return with a significant and impactful role, and after finishing the shoot for the popular quiz show sit-com titled Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, he will join the shooting for this sequel, which will commence in the month of May.

According to Mid-Day, Amitabh will portray the role of Ashwatthama and may get more screen time compared to its prequel.
