Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra Jonas has highly recommended Anuja, an Oscar-nominated short film she co-produced, ahead of its Netflix release on February 5. Taking to Instagram, she called the film a powerful story of resilience, sisterhood, and hope, urging her followers not to miss it.


Directed by Adam J. Graves, Anuja follows the journey of a young girl working in a small garment factory alongside her older sister. The film highlights the struggles of young girls in tough circumstances and their determination to find a better future.


Backed by Priyanka Chopra, Mindy Kaling, and Guneet Monga, Anuja has already received critical acclaim and is shortlisted for Best Live Action Short Film at the 97th Academy Awards. With its premiere on Netflix, the film will be available to audiences worldwide.


Priyanka expressed how deeply moved she was by the story and praised the performances of Sajda Pathan and Ananya Shanbhag, calling them "raw, honest, and captivating." The film is produced in collaboration with organizations like Mira Nair’s Salaam Baalak Trust, which supports underprivileged children​
