Veteran Director Subhash Ghai calls the 55th Edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 55 a Classroom for filmmakers. Talking to Indianfilmhistory.com he said, 'IFFII 55 is a great platform to give a great exposure to global cinema, stories, cultures and people to learn more.'

The veteran director urges Indian filmmakers to make films on Indian themes and stories, He says, 'Cinema is a medium to explore global cultures, and also to propagate your own culture to the world. Please don’t copy international films, only imbibe their technique and narrative. Make your own narrative and showcase India to the world.'

Subhash Ghai praising the festival, IFFI 55 says, "The festval has so much to offer to the global visitors which is a very colourful festival which is getting better every year. It has seen 55 years of growth and experience to showcase Indian Cinema to the global audience."
