Sudipto Sen To Direct Subrata Roy’s Biopic, ‘Saharasri’ Poster Released
On the special occasion of India's business tycoon Subrata Roy's 75th birthday, renowned producers Sandeep Singh and Jayantilal Gada along with 'The Kerala Story' director Sudipto Sen have made an exciting announcement.
Sudipto Sen is being discussed all over the country for a long time. The reason is the controversial film ‘The Kerala Story’ made by the director. Based on the true incidents of religious conversion in Kerala, the film starring Adah Sharma and produced by Vipul Shah is doing exceptionally well at the box office. The buzz of the film was not over yet that Sudipto Sen has signed another project. Sudipto Sen will now be seen directing a biopic after portraying the serious issue of Kerala on the film screen. Actually, the director will be seen directing the film ‘Saharasri’ based on the life of business tycoon and founder of Sahara India Parivar, Subrata Roy.

He has announced his upcoming film ‘Saharasri’, a biopic based on the life of the founder of the Sahara India family. Along with this announcement, Sudipto Sen, Sandeep Singh and Jayantilal Gada have also released the motion poster of ‘Saharasri’.
A 36-second video of the film has also been shared by Pen India Limited on its official Twitter account, showing a glimpse of it. The video shows a check of Rs 25,000 crore for the ‘people of India’ signed by Subrata Roy. In the clip, a man whose face is not shown is holding the cheque. Thousands of people are standing behind this person. He is seen in white shirt, tie and blue blazer. However, it has not been announced yet who will play the lead role in the film.
Talking about the film, Sudipto Sen said that filming a biopic has never been easy for any filmmaker. He said, ‘Directing a biopic is always a challenging task for any filmmaker. It is a big thing to have AR Rahman, Gulzar, Sandeep Singh and Dr. Jayantilal Gada together for a film. This film titled ‘Saharasri’ will be released next year. It will be shot extensively in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Kolkata and London.
