Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi has broken all box office records since it’s release and it is continuing it’s incredible business. The crime drama that released recently on Netflix has become the No.1 non English film on the OTT giant. The actress and her proud mother Soni Razdan shared the incredible news on her social media story. 

 

Speaking about this amazing milestone in the SLB film, Alia said, “It's amazing to see how great stories continue to find new audiences, within India and beyond with Netflix. With all the love that Gangubai Kathiawadi has been receiving from its viewers all over the world, I'm rendered speechless. I've always aspired to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and to have our film find a home on Netflix and receive the splendid response it did, fills me with gratitude.” 

 

Director Bhansali added, “Gangubai Kathiawadi is a special film that I hold very close to my heart. Gangubai Kathiawadi also stars Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz and Ajay Devgn and is based on a story from S Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai.
